Do I need a diesel
emissions inspection for my vehicle?
All heavy-duty diesel
vehicles 18,000 pounds GVWR or more are
required to be tested for smoke emissions

pounds GVWR must be inspected within 90
days of your vehicle's registration, then
every year thereafter.
I bought a truck from
Hudson County Motors...isn't emissions
inspection included?!?!
Although the cost of the
inspection is included in the purchase price
of your truck, diesel emissions inspections
cannot be conducted during our customer prep.
process because all vehicles must be
registered before the inspection can be
completed. After receiving your registration,
contact your salesman or our service
department to schedule an appointment. Make
sure to do this within 90 days of receiving
your registration or you can be subject to a
fine of 500 dollars.
I have a more
specific question, where can I turn?
